Garbage & Recycling

Windsor Township arranges for our garbage and recycling collection. For more information please call the Township Office at (717) 244-3512 or visit their website. 

Republic Services does the actual collection, and they provide scheduling and recycling information on their website. Their phone number is (800) 210-9675.

Republic Services asks that we place garbage and recycling bins curbside (on the sidewalk) no later than 6:00 AM Tuesday morning for collection.  To make this easier, Longstown Village allows garbage and recycling to be placed curbside after 4:00 PM on Monday.

Wheeled trash and recycling bins are provided by Republic Services free of charge.  If residents choose to not use a free trash bin, or a bin of their own, we ask that they use sturdy black trash bags as thinner bags are easily torn apart by birds.
